Ogake is a star! Simply for allowing me dream and bringing that dream to life.

When we started planning our wedding, I knew I wanted a lace mermaid gown and was almost certain I didn’t want a dress off the rack (actually I didn’t try any).

I’d seen Ogake’s work online and I knew a few brides she’d worked with. I reached out to secure an appointment to possibly see if we could work together.

Our initial meeting lasted slightly over an hour and throughout the meeting Ogake listened attentively to my inspiration, general style…she simply allowed me to dream beyond my imagination, my insecurities notwithstanding .

When I received my three sketch options, it wasn’t difficult to settle on the final dress design- Ogake had incorporated every detail I’d loved (from 4 different dress inspirations). Only Ogake does that…there were no changes to be made.

Together with her amazing team, Ogake team brought that dream to life gave me a perfect customised dress. I received lots of compliments and most people couldn’t believe the dress was done locally by Kenyan from scratch- not just alterations.

I absolutely enjoyed the entire process of bring the dream to life- from choosing the lace, sketch options the different fitting sessions. I especially looked forward to fitting days and I must admit I was I must admit I was blown away each time by her attention to detail.

Most difficult part for me was choosing the veil. I tried out different veils at different fitting sessions and I would fall in love with each veil that I was shown (good problems LOL). I settled on my final veil on my last fitting day- so upcoming brides, don’t overthink the veil- it will fall into place.

Overall, I absolutely enjoyed working with Ogake and her team, no drama or melt downs whatsoever.
